It’s time to start removing the clutter. I will begin with the easy stuff to remove from my life. Clothing! I have few boxes of clothing that I never have worn.  Why do I store new clothes and not use them you ask? All the new clothing were received as gifts throughout the year. I normally do not dispose of my clothing unless it is damaged or warn down. So I went though all my old clothes and pulled out the good, bad and ugly from my wardrobe and gave them away to a thrift store. Now I have all new clothes and only occupying a third of the space. I truly did not know I had so many socks (about 4 weeks worth). There are now just three pairs of dress socks, two hiking socks and five everyday socks. The rest are now gone. It took me about an hour to complete this. I have to admit that there was allot of “I might wear that” moments. I stuck with my guns and just got rid of them.

Conclusion
I have to admit, it feels pretty good. At first it felt like “I was out of my mind” ! Truth to be told, its nice. With less options to choose from it makes it easier to get dressed in the morning. I didn’t realize that I was somewhat emotionally attached to clothing, were getting rid of the excess made a part of me panic at the thought of losing it.
